Manufactured by Josef Miscchitz in Ferlach, Austria in 1946. Blued 27 - 1/4" fluid steel barrels signed on the underside with matted rib and single bead sight. Selective ejectors. Double triggers. Dainty boxlock action with exquisite sculpted sideplates culminating in fleur de lis points. Outstanding full coverage rose & scroll engraving features sculpted oak leaves on bolsters with 3 finely executed flying mallards on the underside. Barrel breeches and rib likewise finely scroll engraved. Finely checkered walnut splinter forend. Stock is of nice figure with a French style raised skipline checkered, horn capped pistol grip, double line cheek piece, and checkered horn butt plate. CONDITION: Barrels retain 95% blue with a spot of loss at the forend tip and mild marks. Very nice coin finished action. Forend has some moderate wear and chipping along the right edge with a dark spot at the tip. Stock likewise has scattered field impressions. A small crack runs from the safety into the checkering on the left side of grip. A filled sling swivel hole also present on the toeline. Bright and shiny bores.
