Manufactured 1883. Standard US issue with the SWP (Sam Porter) cartouche dated 1883. Cursive P on wrist. Block dated 1873. "(eagle) US SPRINGFIELD" stamped lock, missing rod. CONDITION: Fine. All metal is a smooth clean patina. All legends including eagle head proof on barrel are crisp. Stock is excellent with usual dings and minor dents. Action works fine. Bore is strong and bright.
