Original trade label reads "Maker to his majesty Prince Albert, London". Fine mahogany case contains a Westly Richards half stock hammer 12 bore. The stock features English-style checkered wrist with smooth steel blued butt plate. The locks, hammers, tang are also engraved as is the blued trigger guard and fore-end tip. Double triggers. Matching numbers on frame, stock and barrels. Damascus twist browned barrels have maker legend on rib and are choked full. Water table is loaded with English proofs. Case includes one leather pouch with nipples and tools. Other leather case has some screws. There is a Dixon powder flask with extra spout, a wood cleaning rod, brass jag, along with some wadding, wads and pellets. CONDITION Excellent. Barrel has clean bores and fabulous pattern with a couple minor dings. Stock is excellent with a few light impressions. Case colors have faded. 50% bright blue on trigger guard. Crisp English engraving. Fine working order. Case is fine. Nice Victorian-era top-quality double.
