This gun was produced for use by the German army during the first World War. It has unit stamp on the front grip strap. On left side of slide is stamped 1920 which means it remained in the country after the Treaty of Versailles was signed which allowed military handguns to be used by local police and security after the war ended. This is a standard third variant, blue finish, checkered wood grips, one magazine. CONDITION. Very good. There are years of holster carry wear on this pistol. Overall, it retains about 40% blue blending with patina in most areas. The legends are sharp. Front stamp has rust freckling. The checkering on grips is wearing thin. The barrel was replaced and has to much blue compared to balance of gun.
