Manufactured 1905. Trigger guard has Colt returned for service star. The scarce .32-20 barrel is later. One would assume that caliber was changed and gun refinished upon return, especially since the serial number is only readable in right light. Standard blue finish with gutta percha grips. The etched number in right panel is not matching. The assembly number 1264 stamped in grip frame and under barrel. Cylinder is number 407, yoke is 1315. CONDITION. Very Good. Blue is post-1914 muted tone. Retains about 60% blue blending patina with scattered freckling. All legends sharp except serial number, grips are excellent. Cylinder does not advance. This is a very rare caliber in this model, only the fourth example we are aware of, but it may not have shipped in this configuration.
