One of the highest regarded bolt action .22 rifles ever produced, this example was manufactured in 1949. Rifle features a lustrous blued sporting weight round barrel with hooded, ramped blade front sight and Redfield rear peep sight. Built on the high quality Model 52 target action with "SPORTING" marked bottom metal and "W" marked aftermarket detachable magazine. Highly attractive 1-piece checkered walnut sporting stock with ebony tip, super grade style sling swivel eyes, cheek piece, hard rubber WRACO grip cap, and checkered steel widows peek butt plate. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel retains nearly all of its blue with only a few mild marks. Receiver and trigger guard have light high edge silvering and some scattered marks. Stock likewise has a few field impressions but is overall fine. Very good bore. Fine mechanics. A highly attractive and desirable rimfire rifle.
