Manufactured 1861, the last year offered. This is a civilian model with no government inspector stamps. Gun has matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, back strap, barrel, cylinder, wedge, and loading lever. Standard blue finish with fire blued trigger, case color frame, hammer, and lever. The round trigger guard and back strap are silver plated brass. The barrel has the New York City address on flat at breech. The left side of frame is stamped "Colt's Patent". The cylinder features the roll die USMR cavalry scene and stamped "W.L. ORMSBY". All nipples are period and the pin safeties are intact. Grips are a one piece varnished walnut. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel is a smooth soft chocolate patina with some blending blue. The lever shows some flashes of color. Cylinder is butter smooth patina with strong 90% cylinder scene. The straps retain about 70% of their plating. The trigger still has some bright fire blue on sides. Grips are excellent with minor usual dings The action indexes and locks up tight. The bore is bright.
