Manufactured circa 1896 with 4 - 3/4" barrel and black powder frame. Fitted with a set of worn checkered rampant Colt 2-piece hard rubber grips, likely after being recovered. Cylinder is is loaded with 5 rounds, the chamber empty. Hammer frozen at half cock. Revolver is accompanied by an older tag listing the gun by serial number with the inscription "Butte - Mont.", likely where it was found. CONDITION: Relic. An overall cleaned silvery patina with pitting and oxidation. Grips are good as worn. A nice piece of Old West Montana history.
