Circa 1856 with polished blue octagon barrel, New York address, brass pin front sight, silver plated grip straps, and 1-piece walnut grips. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 40% factory blue, the balance fading to patina. Strong traces of case colors retained on loading lever and frame. Grip straps likewise retain portions of darkly toned silver plating, especially around the trigger guard. Brass underneath is a mellow golden hue. Grips appear cleaned with a few impressions and moderate wear. Markings are sharp and legible, including the cylinder scene. Strong bore, some spots of black powder abrasion present. Very good mechanics, the mainspring somewhat light.
