Simply a WWII era variant of the Official Police model. It is not military inspected, but the majority of these saw military applied use such as war factory guard guns, etc. They have Colt logo brown plastic grips, a matte, almost black finish, no Colt pony on the frame, and were shipped in plain military-style cardboard boxes. This example has standard fixed sights, Colt Commando stamped on the left side of the barrel, six shot, double action 38. it is missing the ejector rod head. CONDITION. Excellent. 90% finish with scattered handling marks, high edge and muzzle wear, fine action, excellent grips, bright bore.
