Lot consists of: (A) Third Reich SS silver on black Strummann sleeve diamond in very good condition. (B) Embroidered SS Sleeve Eagle. This pattern of insignia was factory applied on tunics issued to enlisted men and NCOs in the Waffen-SS. Embroidered in silver-gray thread black wool backing that is typical wartime fabric. Light fraying at edges but very good overall. (C) First Pattern SS EM/NCO Sleeve Eagle. Machine embroidered in silver gray thread on a gray/green uniform wool base. This pattern of eagle was used for a short time by the very early SS-VT, the forerunners of the Waffen-SS, before they switched to the more common eagle pattern with black wool which was used until the end of WWII. Small strands of thread visible around the edges suggesting that it may have been issued. (D) SS Collar Tab, machine embroidered, that never had any piping. The body of this collar tab is made of a typical black wool badge cloth. The embroidered runic emblem of the SS is nicely executed in silvery gray cotton thread. Reverse shows a typical tan buckram stiffener. Scattered mothing but remains complete and sound. (E) SS cap eagle with nice patina and 1 broken prong. (F) Allgemeine SS jawless skull cap insignia with both prongs. Nice patina. CONDITION: Good-very good.
