Lot consists of 2 World War II era German street signs: (A) measures approximately 35 - 1/2" x 6 - 1/4". Constructed of fairly heavy steel, with the wording “Gabelsbergerstrasse” in white DIN lettering, enclosed by a white border, on a cobalt blue background. The lettering and border are slightly raised from the background. The obverse does have some damage, which is typical of these signs. There are typical nicks and scratches, and some areas of enamel loss that are mostly limited to the edges. Only a couple of letters are slightly affected by these chips, and the sign remains readable. The exposed bare metal exhibits old patina. Exposed steel on the corners suggests this sign was used, mounted to a building or other object. CONDITION: Good. (B) Measures approximately 21 - 1/2" x 6" with same construction as (A). Light blemishes, mostly around the edges and on the reverse. Legible and reads "Stelling-Weg" CONDITION: Very good.

Item Dimensions: Longest: 36"
LOT OF 2: GERMAN WWII PORCELAIN STREET SIGNS.
