World War I US Navy recruitment poster by artist Howard Chandler Christy. This poster features a "Christy Girl" which captures the idealized vision of feminine beauty in early 20th century American. The young girl proclaims "I want you for the Navy", using her image to entice young men to join the Navy during the First World War. This poster is contained in a frame that measures approximately 41 - 1/2" x 26". The colors remain vibrant with a few scattered creases and small tears around the edges which are only visible up close. CONDITION: Good.
