Approximately 11,000 produced from 1928 to 1940, this example manufactured in 1930. Star gauged Springfield barrel dated "11-29" with blade front sight and ladder rear. Nickel steel bolt marked with the full serial number in electropencil. Correct reversed safety and serrated trigger. "C" type walnut pistol grip stock stamped with an encircled "P" firing proof on the wrist, boxed "D.A.L." inspector marking on the left, and the full serial number along the toe line. Standard mounts. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal applied packerized finish with some expected moderate wear and a few cleaned oxidation spots. Stock has scattered nicks and abrasions, in addition to a repaired split at the wrist. Good, strong bore. ME of 1. TE of 3. Fine mechanics.
