A rare World War II Navy luger. 42 code with a 1940 chamber date, manufactured by Mauser. Stick eagle 655 proof marks on the right side of the receiver. This is an all matching numbers gun except the magazine. The magazine is Naval marked "N4324x" and numbered 6983c+. There is a Navy mark on the back strap "N / 5097". The N is the Kriegsmarine mark of the North Sea Naval Station headquartered at Wilhelmshaven, and the 5097 is the property number. Two piece checkered wood grips that are not numbered. CONDITION: This gun retains virtually all of the factory applied blue finish. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. The grips are mint with sharp and crisp checkering. A very high condition gun that is very desirable and collectible.
