Rare World War II Navy luger rig. "42" code with a 1939 chamber date, manufactured by Mauser. This is an all matching numbers gun, except the magazine. The magazine is numbered 2913v. There is a Navy mark on the back strap "N / 3801". The N is the Kriegsmarine mark of the North Sea Naval Station headquartered at Wilhelmshaven, and the 3801 is the property number. Two piece checkered wood grips that are not numbered. It comes in a Naval marked holster. It has the stick eagle over M proof mark between the belt loops. The maker mark is "VOEGEL / KOLN / 1939". CONDITION: This gun retains vast amounts of the original blue finish. The straps are starting to fade and there is some high edge and holster wear. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Sharp and crisp checkering on the grips. The holster shows crazing but is solid. The stitching is tight and serviceable. A rare and desirable Navy luger.
