Per included factory research, rifle shipped March 6, 1890 with a .44 caliber 24" half octagon barrel, half length magazine, and pistol grip stock. Rifle remains in the configuration as listed. The 24" blued half octagon barrel is marked "44 W." at the breech and is fitted with sporting sights, an additional folding peep sight mounted to the tang. Correct half length magazine tube. Polished blue receiver with case hardened hammer and lever. Checkered walnut forend and pistol grip butt stock with crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel and magazine tube retain the majority of their fading factory blue with some freckles and silver along the high edges. Receiver likewise retains the majority of its lustrous polished blue with flaking and wear. bolt has largely faded to brown patina. Hammer has a few flashes of case color, the lever largely faded to patina with some patterning. Stocks are fine with scattered marks and mild spots of finish loss. Bore has sharp, well defined rifling and some frost in the grooves. Crisp mechanics.
