Manufactured in 1943. Features include serrated front sight, rounded square notch rear sight, knurled short trigger, checkered magazine release, knurled slide lock, knurled thick tab safety, and knurled narrow hammer. Mounted with checkered Keyes Fiber Co. grips. Accompanied by an "L" marked magazine and a Boyt US marked leather holster. Slide is marked with Union Switch & Signal manufacture marking and "P" proofmark near rear sight. Barrel is marked with "HS" on right side of lug and "P" on left side. Right side of frame is marked with US Property marking as well as "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". Left side of frame is marked with "R.C.D." cartouche and "P" proofmark. CONDITION: Excellent, with the vast majority of the original Du-Lite finish remaining with high edge wear and scattered heavy handling marks. Trigger shows evidence of having a shoe installed. Grips show no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Holster shows honest wear, tight stitching, and supple leather.
