Included factory records indicate the serial number was applied to this rifle December 28, 1888, and it was shipped January 8, 1889. Rifle features a blued No. 3 weight half octagon barrel with Lyman globe front sight and filled-in rear sight dovetail. Tang affixed with a folding aperture rear sight. Stocks have the usual mild marks with some added finish and a repair at the upper tang. Strong well defined rifling with some mild cleaned oxidation spots. Mechanics are fine, including the set trigger.
