Limited production circa late 1880s. Rifle features a blued 26" tapered octagon barrel chambered in .22 Long with globe front sight, v-notch dovetail rear, and tang mounted Vernier aperture sight. A period 18 - 1/2" weight has been mounted to the underside of the barrel for offhand shooting. Action is case hardened with nitre blue single trigger and full loop lever. Walnut splinter forend. Moderately figured pistol grip stock and Swiss butt plate. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel retains the vast majority of its factory blue, some mild wear present. Weight has largely faded to chocolate patina. Action displays significant portions of faded case colors and patterning. Stocks are very good showing scattered impressions and some varnish loss. Bright bore with strong, well defined rifling. Fine mechanics.
