Matching numbers on cylinder and barrel, parkerized finish, case color hammer & trigger, smooth walnut grips, lanyard ring. Comes with a Boyt 1943 shoulder holster. This gun was carried during the war by Lt. Howard Wagenhals USMCR while flying in the South Pacific in 1944. Robert's father enlisted in the Navy in 1941 and became a pilot, as did Lt. Wagenhals, who brought his service revolver home, and it was given to Mr. Galbraith's father by Wagenhals' widow. CONDITION: Excellent. 98% war time finish with some high edge holster wear only. Bright case colors, excellent grips. Action is working. Bore is sharp. Holster is excellent and complete.
