Manufactured circa 1876 to 1891. Matching heavy blued octagon barrel marked at the breech for "45-100" with Rocky Mountain sights and a period mid range tang sight. Hickory wiping rod retained to the underside of barrel by a pair of dovetailed thimbles. Case hardened action with double set triggers and loop style lever. Plain grain walnut forend and stock with steel crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel retains the vast majority of its original blue, some high edge wear and spotting present. Receiver retrains some case color patterning with an overall silvery patina. Forend has some scattered impressions and a small split at the mount. Stock appears lightly cleaned but is otherwise fine. Strong, lightly abraded bore. Fine mechanics.
