Manufactured by William Wurfflein of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1880s or 1890s. Blued octagon barrel and marked at the breech with 2-line address between a pair of engraved double line bands. Globe front sight and mid-range Vernier aperture rear sight, the rear dovetail on the barrel is filled in with a blank. Receiver is attractively engraved with foliate scroll and vine motifs with double line borders. Checkered walnut splinter forend.
