Manufactured circa 1903. Blued octagon barrel with blade front sight and Marbles tang mounted aperture rear sight, the rear barrel dovetail filled in with a Marbles blank. Polished blue takedown receiver with case hardened hammer and lever. Plain walnut stocks with crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains nearly all of its factory blue, barring some mild high edge silvering and other scattered marks. Magazine tube blue is drifting to a brown patina. Receiver displays the majority of its lustrous blue, some thinning on the top and bottom to brown patina, along with light scratching and flaking. Hammer and lever show faded case colors, turning to gray patina. Forend has carry wear and finish loss, the butt stock rating finer with only scattered impressions. Fine, bright and shiny bore. Crisp mechanics.
