Manufactured from 1898 into the early 1900s, bearing later "THE HOPKINS & ALLEN ARMS CO." address. Blued octagon barrel with combination front sight and sporting rear. Case colored receiver is also mounted with a short-range aperture rear sight. Stocks are checkered walnut with perch belly form and a nickel-finished Swiss butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Barrel retains significant traces of factory blue, the balance has faded to a brown patina. Significant portions of case colors are displayed on the action with areas fading to a silver patina. Stocks have the usual scattered marks but are otherwise very good. Butt plate has only minor freckling. Good, strong bore. Fine mechanics.
