38cm nagasa. Hirazukuri constriction, which foregoes a shinogi and yokote, and mitsumune. Jihada is ko-itame, with jinie, somewhat rough. Hamon is a fairly restrainted midare with nie throughout, some areas rougher than others, and sunagashi, particularly at the omote hamachi. Maru boshi with kaeri fukai. Omote with triple thin line bo hi, ura with a suken horimono. Signed in two characters "Kunifusa" on omote, with NTHK NPO Kanteisho, attributing it to Chikugo Daijo Kunifusa, an Iyo province smith working in the Kanbun era circa 1661. In shirasaya with brass habaki. CONDITION: Very good, with some minor ware, mostly about the horimono. Some very fine superficial scratches visible on blade in the right like, but otherwise in excellent polish that shows features well. Shirasaya with normal age related marks. A good example of an attractive blade shape.
