Circa 1899 per serial number. 30" dovetail lump barrels with a flat matted rib with slots for mid and bead front sights, and relief vignette for Greener's address, "Winer At the London Gun Triasl 1875, 1877, 1878 & 1879. Siemens Steel". Lightly dressed with florals at breech and muzzle, rear of rib with a vignette of a pigeon and rib extension. Barrel flats with Birmingham proof marks, a "12/C" in a diamond and "CHOKE" Tubes ahead of flats with SIemens steel stamp, serial number, proof mark, Greener's elephant mark, "W.W.G" and some assorted initials on underside of rib. Splinter forearm with reinforced Anson plunger release, checkered in point pattern, and marked on interior "PATENT EJECTORS" "GRADE, M." and serial number. Case colored boxlock action with Greener crossbolt, Greener safety at sidepanel, and engraved with acanthus scroll and floral strapwork. Action flats with Birmingham proof, serial number, and Greener elephant. Case colored double triggers protected by a blued flat bottom trigger guard with light floral engraving, and long tang with serial number and "PIGEON SPECIAL". Walnut stock checkered about the wrist in a point pattern inlaid with a golden oval engraved with "J.P. BRANT" and finished with a checkered butt. CONDITION: Very good as restored. Barrels with virtually all of their well executed bluing with some minor handling marks and superficial scratches, one small patch of fine oxidation on left barrel, approximately halfway down, and ghost in rib. Action excellent with virtually all of the reapplied case colors, some fine silvering at edges. Wood is very good with some handling marks and indents, heavier at butt. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with some firing residue, ejectors do not fire.
