20" round barrel, last 1/2" threaded and covered by a thread protector. White composite bead front sight on screwed-on island with matted ramp and slotted for removable sight hood. Sweated on ring with stud for sling swivel. Marked ".425 EXPRESS" on left side of shank, A-SQUARE / MADE IN USA" on right. Drilled and tapped ahead of shank, approximately 2" apart. With diopter rear sight on scope mount screwed to action. Right side of action with serial number, evidence of what looks to be a British Nitro Proof on left side of fore ring. Stocked in a piece of walnut with fiddle throughout, and fit with reinforcement bolts. Checkered in 2 panels of point pattern checkering about the wrist, fit with slin swivel stud at toe line, and basketweave Decelerator pad. CONDITION: Good, with the vast majority of the reparkerization remaining after A-Square customization, with some superficial handling marks and scratches throughout. Some areas of fine oxidation. Stock is very good with some handling marks and impressions. Mechanically fine, bore is good with strong rifling and frosting throughout. The .425 Express was developed specifically for African hunts, and this would be a fine rifle.
