Manufactured circa 1877. Finished in brilliant nickel plate with ribbed barrel, half moon front sight, spur trigger, and 2-piece mother of pearl grips. Accompanied by a fantastic original box with picture label. As is correct for a nickel gun, box is green, the label also marked "NICKEL / PLATE" in the upper left corner. CONDITION: Excellent. Revolver remains in near new condition, retaining nearly all of its original nickel. Only a light turn line and scattered light marks present. Hammer likewise retains most of its case colors, some wear present on the left side. Grips are very fine with only a small chip on the left side. Very fine, bright bore. Crisp mechanics. Box has a nice, clean label with some mild chipping. The front of the body has a tape repair done with similar colored green tape. Small tape repairs also present on the lid at the front left corner and along the right edge. A wonderful time capsule Smith & Wesson with very hard to fine original picture box.
