Manufactured circa 1877 to 1891. Finished in polished blue with ribbed 3 - 1/4" barrel, half moon front sight, strawed spur trigger, and 2-piece ivory grips. Gun is accompanied by an original maroon box without lid label. CONDITION: Excellent. Gun retains the vast majority of its original blue with finish freckling and light thinning on the backstrap and muzzle. Trigger displays strong straw. Hammer colors remain very bright. Grips exhibit an extremely pleasant aged cream patina. Bore is strong with some evidence of black powder ammunition usage. Fine mechanics. Box has some edgewear but no separation. A very nice Smith & Wesson with scarcely found original box.
