This hilt of this weapon shows heavy Moroccan influence, with the hilt closely resembling a Moroccan Nimcha sword. The slightly curved unfullered blade measures 22-3/4". The miquelet pistol mechanism is fastened to the top of the right side of blade using two domed screws visible from the left side of the blade. The pistol measures 6 - 1/4" overall with a 3 - 3/4" turned barrel with cannon muzzle. Engraved miquelet action. One-piece horn grip with gadrooned iron guard, knucklebow and pommel cap. Folding trigger. CONDITION: Blade and sword cleaned bright with some nicks to edge and areas of pitting. Pistol portion cleaned bright and with some scattered dark spotting. Mechanism does not hold on cock position. Horn grip shows some light scratches.
