Officially introduced November 1937 in 28 Gauge, relatively few were produced prior to being discontinued in 1958. This rare example was produced in late 1937. It is accompanied by a pair of 26" Winchester Proof steel matted solid rib barrel assemblies choked "FULL" and "SKEET" with double bead sights. The full choked barrel is dated "37". The skeet barrel appears undated and numbered to match. Both magazine tube clips marked "20" as is standard for 28 gauge guns. "SKEET" marked takedown receiver marked on the rear "28", magazine cut off also correctly stamped "28". Slides are constructed of corrugated walnut. Gloss-finished figured walnut pistol grip stock with hard rubber WRACO grip cap and butt plate. Stock has the matching serial number and "SKEET" written underneath the butt plate. CONDITION: Very good as professionally restored. Gun and barrels retain nearly all of their reapplied blued finishes with only a few scattered marks. Forend on the full choked barrel set appears to be a replacement, the skeet slide appears very fine with only a few scattered marks. Stock shows a few impressions and some finish alligatoring. Bores are bright and shiny, the skeet barrel shows some more evidence of use. Good mechanics.
