Second generation gun with SA suffix. Classic 4 - 3/4" configuration with blade front sight, notch rear sight, kidney-shaped ejector rod head, traversal cylinder axle retaining pin, and one piece Mother of Pearl grips. Typical legends throughout. Engraved in nearly complete coverage of flowing acanthus scrollwork on a punch dot background, with supporting geometrics and florals interspersed, cylinder is engraved over chambers, in flutes, and at rear, and even the blade front sight has been engraved on both sides. Mother of Pearl grips with good fire. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the nickel finish throughout, with some scattered handling marks and clouding common to nickel finishes. Grips are well fit and free of cracks or chips. Mechanically fine with all four Colt clicks, bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling.
