Both NBTHK Hozon papers and Matsuo Fujishiro certificate identify the smith as the Sukesada working around Eisho. Appears ubu, but cut and raised once, with 2 mekugi-ana. A scarce hira zukuri form a kuri nakagojiri and iori mune, signed katanamei "Sukesada". Jihada is ko-itame, hamon is choji otare and loaded with activity including chikei, including inazuma and ashi. Boshi is chu-maru on ura, and a narrow jizo on omote. Two piece habaki, base shakudo, bottom half gold foil with horizontal catscratch. In shirasaya. Accompanied by NBTHK Hozon papers and Matsuo Fujishiro certificate. CONDITION: Excellent, in polish, showing features throughout. Some pinprick openings and some small ware appropriate to a blade of this age. Shirasaya with handling marks, but solid.
