3nd model rifle manufactured in 1883. Fitted with a blued round barrel with 2-line address. German silver blade front sight and "1876" marked flip up ladder rear sight graduated to 1,000 yards. Standard full length magazine tube. Blued frame with integral dust cover guide and plain dust cover. Single set trigger in working order. Walnut forend with blued steel nose cap. Matching walnut stock with tool trap rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very fine. Rifle retains the majority of its fading factory blue, areas drifting to brown patina. Approximately 50% nitre blue on loading gate. Traces of case colors visible on the hammer. Lever has developed a dark patina. Elevator displays an attractive mottled golden patina. Stocks have been cleaned with a few dings remaining. Bore is bright and strong with some light cleaned oxidation spots near the muzzle. Fine mechanics. A very nice '76.
