This small spur trigger, 7-shot revolver has the Reilly retailer stamp on the high polish blue octagon barrel. The nickel-plated brass frame is engraved in a fine scroll pattern. The cylinder has British proofs. Sports varnished one piece walnut grips. The hammer is case color. Comes in a walnut display box with green Tranters patent label. We believe the box to be repurposed and the trade label is contemporary. CONDITION. Excellent. It appears that the action is gunked up and will not index The cylinder has been reblued in a dull rust style while at least 30% of the high polish barrel blue remains. The left side of frame has the TRANTERS PATENT legend. Grips are excellent with minor dings. The frame retains 85% of the nickel plating with some brass bleed through. The bore is strong but has some minor abrasion. Very unusual small frame.
