A stout, Southern attributed Bowie knife that measures 14" overall with a 10" clip point blade that has a 4 - 1/2" false edge. Blade measures a wide 2 - 1/8" wide at the ricasso. Handle is one piece turned hardwood with 3 narrow hand carved radial lines in the center that culminates in a flat iron pommel with peened tang. Blade was heavily pitted at one time then cleaned. Back of spine shows evidence of blade being hammered to get the cutting edge through something tough. CONDITION: Good.
