Manufactured 1869. Late production gun, no government stamps, not cut for shoulder stock. Has matching numbers on frame, barrel, grip strap, back strap, cylinder, and post. No number on wedge. Standard blue and case color finish, varnished one piece walnut grips, brass trigger guard. The rebated cylinder features the roll die naval battle scene. CONDITION: Fine. Barrels retains about 40% of the factory bright blue mixing with gun metal grey. Barrel legends are strong. Loading lever retains some bright case color. Cylinder has razor sharp scene but just minor blue hugging the rebate. Frame retains 70% bright color with equal amount on hammer. Brass guard retains flashes of plating. Majority of back strap is grey patina. An ID number has been hand etched into the butt. Grips are excellent as refinished, a bit shy to metal and short at both toes. Crisp action. Bore is bright. A really fine condition post war commercial.
