1942 Indian Model 741 had a 30.5 cubic inch (500cc) air-cooled side valve V-twin motor, and had 15hp @ 4,800rpm. The 741 was based on the civilian Thirty-Fifty model. The 741 Indian series of motorcycles was run by Battery, Points & Coil Ignition with a 3-speed Transmission and Foot Clutch, with a frame-mounted Speedometer (missing) and girder front fork with a rigid rear axel; a sprung seat somewhat cushioned the ride. 3.50 x 18 wheels tires. We have not attempted to start this bike, but it has compression and will shift through the gears. Tires are dry rotted, and cracked but will hold air. The bike retains most of the original parts but is missing a few small pieces, such as fasteners, cables, fork-mounted ammo can holder, and rifle scabbard. The frame and motor are marked with the correct serial number sequence.
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
