An incredibly rare authentic example of the Egyptian leaded glass table lamp by Duffner & Kimberly. The Egyptian leaded glass table lamp is known to have been produced by Handel, and unfortunately has been extensively reproduced. However, Duffner & Kimberly also produced an example of the Egyptian lamp with very few known examples. This gorgeous example is without a doubt the real McCoy. The leaded glass shade measures 28" from corner to corner, or 20" down each of the square sides. The shade features gorgeous multicolored glass in complex streaked purples and blues with highly-detailed painted faces. CONDITION: The shade has a prominent rattle, and it is in excellent condition, free of any broken or missing glass with just a small number of hairline cracks. The shade sits on a monumental matching Egyptian patinated bronze table base. The 4-socket base has an Egyptian motif with matching included heat cap. The base bears the Duffner & Kimberly stamp on the upper-column, as well as the perforated heart Duffner cluster.
