The barrel is a no. 1, half octagon, 30" in the .25-20 Stevens single shot cartridge. Matching numbers. The barrel has a globe front sight but no slot cut for any barrel rear sight wearing a mid-range tang sight instead. The walnut stock is a Schutzen type with no cheek piece and sporting a Swiss butt plate with matching forearm. Also features double set triggers (working) with case color frame & lever. CONDITION. Excellent. The Stevens barrel legends are sharp as new The barrel retains approximately 85% blue , starting to blend, with high edge wear. The frame retains about 50% case colors, brighter on left side. Stock has a crack on left side about 4", some scattered abrasions with majority of finish. The forearm shows finish loss in center from handling with usual impressions. The bore is sharp but lightly frosted. The block retains majority of bright blue. The lever has turned patina.
