Krupp-Laufstahl barrels feature a full length matted raised rib with a .22 Hornet barrel running through it. Gun features a beaded ramp front sight and a dovetail folding leaf and fixed rear sight. The rib is stamped " CARL GUNTERMANN DUSSELDORF." The shotgun barrels are stamped "IMMAN. MEFFERT." and "SUHL." on either side. All numbers are matching. The 16 gauge barrels are choked Full and Modified, and are fitted for claw scope mounts. Blued metal. The barrel bases are loaded with Nitro and various German proof marks. The engraved scalloped boxlock frame features typical deep relief cut engraved mallards on the right side with a fox and rabbit on left, both surrounded by decorative scroll and borders. This frame is machined from aluminum alloy. Engraved on the base of frame is "Hubertus Suhl". The trigger guard and butt plate are made of horn. The oil finish checkered pistol grip walnut stock features a cap. There are sling swivels mounted to both the barrel and rear stock. The base of the stock has an engraved cartridge trap with initials (?). The straight comb stock has a roll over cheek piece. The matching splinter forearm has an engraved release. CONDITION. Excellent. The frame retains approximately 50% blue drifting soft grey patina. Barrels retain most of the original blue with light handling All four bores are strong. Stocks are excellent with minor impressions. Lock up is tight.
