64.4cm (approx. 25 - 3/8") nagasa of classic shinogi zukuri form. Blade is out of polish and features are obscured, but it appears to have an oil tempered suguha temper. Kurijiri nakago with single mekugi-ana signed "Okada Kaneyoshi Saku"; he was 4th Seat at the 1941 Exhibition, see Slough, pg. 74. Brass habaki with carved design of falling rain, pierced tsuba, copper fuchi with a design of a scroll and fan,, modern menuki depicting cranes, and a modern aluminum kashira. Roiro saya. CONDITION: Blade is out of polishWith scattered areas of surface scratching and some clouding. One chip on mune. Mounts are clean, with some oxidation to tsuba and scattered handling marks.
