MFG. 1862. Very early war gun with visible W inspector stamp on top of back strap. All matching numbers, including wedge, with the exception of the cylinder, which has been reblued with no visible stamps nor roll die naval scene. This gun is cut for shoulder stock, has one-piece walnut grips with no visible cartouche, and a brass trigger guard. Cylinder and barrel were reblued at one time. Barrel legend is almost completely gone. The Colt patent stamp on the left side of the frame is legible. CONDITION. Good. The frame is a soft grey. The cylinder is faded blue. The barrel is patina. Grips are revarnished. The action indexes correctly. The bore is extremely crisp with light residue. Comes with a Navy Arms flap holster.
