66.2cm (approximately 26") of classic shinogi zukuri form, with a straight temper line. Nakago with kuri jiri, single mekugi-ana, signed Kazunori, and dated Showa 19, month 12 (December, 1944). Classic Type 98 single hanger mounts, possibly composited or field repaired as they don't fit quite right. CONDITION: Good, with some handling marks and darkening from age throughout. Blade with some handling marks and mossing, some slight chips to cutting edge, mostly at mono-uchi.
