Receiver manufactured circa September 1918 before the close of World War I. Matching blued "9-18" dated "R" and flaming bomb stamped Remington barrel with "R" marked protected blade front sight and ladder rear. Crisp "R" marked finger groove walnut stock with tool trap buttplate retaining tool kit. Complete with "1918" dated M1907 pattern leather sling. CONDITION: Fine. These rifles are scarcely found in high, non rebuilt, condition like this. Nearly all of the original blue is retained on the barrel and receiver with minor high edge silvering. Some thinning present on the bolt handle and trigger guard, and freckling on the floorplate. Stock retains crisp markings with an attractive original oil finish, some scattered impressions found throughout. Strong, mirror bore. ME reads under 2. TE less than 1. A very nice example.
