DSP. Maker Marked "Texlite-35." A good looking example of this C. 1930's double sided porcelain sign from Mobilgas featuring a wonderful Pegasus graphic and diecut shield shape. CONDITION: Side 1 shows porcelain loss throughout the field, as well as, surface scuffs and abrasions to the gloss and surface. The outer edges of the sign have consistent porcelain chipping and wear throughout, with some small areas of oxidation staining. The top border shows discoloration and ocidation where a steel bracket was once attached. The mounting holes along the top show porcelain loss and wear. There are two non-factory mounting holes added to the left and right corners of the bottom section of the shield (8.0). Side 2 remains cleaner with a handful of touched up areas of porcelain loss in the field. There are decent sized chunks of the white background that have been repainted as well. There are also a few areas of discoloration and surface damage in the field and graphic. The outer edges show wear and chipping to the porcelain. There have been three non-factory mounting holes added to the top edge (8.25).
