Manufactured 1902. Civilian version of Colt's first swing out cylinder revolver. This gun features the pre-1914 high polish Colt blue finish with fire blue screws, trigger, and partial hammer with polished bright sides. The matching assembly number is etched on both grip panels of the Colt Rosette gutta percha grips, inside the frame, yoke, and the latch. Two line barrel address with March 5th, 95 the last patent date. Colt pony in circle on left side of frame. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains approximately 95% of the high polish finish. There is a hint of muzzle wear, a light cylinder drag line, no noticeable face burn, one small age freckle on right side plate, minor handling marks on back strap, and screws that appear untouched and have nearly all of the fire blue. Grips are crisp. Action works correctly. Bore is bright. Hard to find in this condition.
