Fine Garcia high half-breed bit, well maker marked "G. S. Garcia / Elko / Nevada" on the mouthpiece. Excellent condition. This identical split ear headstall is pictured in the 1911 Garcia catalog No. 13 as Pattern No. 5, mounted with card suit conchos of hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs, plus classic Garcia buckles. The package includes a set of two-tone natural brown and black diamond pattern closed horsehair reins with tassels. Very fine condition, circa 1915 - 1925.

CORRECTION: An identical split ear headstall is pictured in the 1911 Garcia catalog No. 13 as Pattern No. 5, mounted with card suit conchos of hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs, plus classic Garcia buckles. The bit is a Morales style inlaid half breed with a later added "fantasy" mark on the mouthpiece which G. S. Garcia would not have used. The package includes a set of two-tone natural brown and black diamond pattern closed horsehair reins with tassels. Very fine condition, circa 1915 - 1925. Title amended. On the bridle the bottom leather has been relined and the top has been restored with new leather. All the silver is original G. S. Garcia.
