The rifle serial number is 368 while the corresponding Sequoia number stamped on barrel breech is 249, one of only 1000 rifles imported into the U.S. by Sequoia Importing Co. of San Francisco during the 1920s. The Mannlicher chamber stamp is stamped 1924 . Made in Austria by Steyr, this rifle features a pistol grip checkered walnut half stock, grip cap and solid red recoil pad. Barrel has standard ramp front sight, 3-leaf folding express rear sight to 400 yards, butter knife bolt handle, blue finish and sporting a Lyman Alaskan scope with Griffin & Howe quick release mounts and clear standard cross hair reticle. Double set triggers and sling swivels. CONDITION; Fine. 98% blue remains on all metal with exception to the floor plate and trigger guard which is drifting patina. Nice dark stock with scattered impressions. Butt plate is blowing out. Set triggers are working. Bore is strong.
